”He has the ability with a song like a leather artisan, carving, crafting and coloring to create something both beautiful, flexible and strong enough to stand the test of time. ” - Rich Warren WFMT Chicago

During the 60’s Houston Folk era George was sharing stages with Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Billy Joe Shaver, and is keeping alive the essence of that Folk tradition, the story song.

A strong believer in the healing power of music, George conducts songwriting workshops and performs for schools, libraries, and the special needs community as a member of the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster, while maintaining a robust touring schedule filled with Festivals, Clubs, Coffeehouses, Churches, and House Concerts.

He has released 16 albums in the US and Europe, had songs featured in several movies, produced albums for other Artists, and created PortraitSongs, a custom songwriting service. He is a songwriting mentor for Soldier Songs and Voices, has been inducted into the Houston Folk Music Archives, the Corpus Christi Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Austin Pop Culture Museum.

His concerts are filled with humor, warmth, and always hope, delivered with his edgy vocals and intricate fingerstyle guitar and keyboard playing.
